Sowing Seeds of Hope

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Sowing seeds of hope — becoming seeds of hope

Even during the cold months of winter, many gardeners begin preparing for a future harvest by nurturing carefully planted seeds – trusting in the promise of good things to come.

As we await the promise of Spring and a return to normalcy, Praxis Mutual Funds® has launched our Seeds of Hope campaign as a reminder of the importance of faith and our own role in helping hope grow in the communities around us. We know the seeds we plant – a kind word, a calming presence, a prayer, a generous gift, or an act of service – can take root and grow in unexpected ways. They also bear witness to the hope we carry and the God we follow.

We encourage you to join us in planting – and becoming – seeds of hope for the world, particularly during these challenging times.

Musical interlude

Sing Gently
Words and music by Eric Whitacre
Performed by an international virtual choir

"Ten years ago we created the Virtual Choir with a simple question: is it possible to make beautiful music together, no matter how far apart we are? After multiple virtual choir projects featuring over 20,000 singers from 124 different countries, the answer is a resounding yes. We continue the journey with a new piece I’ve written especially for the Virtual Choir during these challenging times, Sing Gently. Come join us and let us once again make beautiful music together." – Eric Whitacre

May we sing together, always
May our voice be soft
May our singing be music for others
and may it keep others aloft
Sing gently, always
Sing gently as one
May we stand together, always
May our voice be strong
May we hear the singing and
May we always sing along
Sing gently, always
Sing gently as one

Support local business

Another “seed of hope” we can all sow is the support of local small businesses, which carry a disproportionate burden from coronavirus health and safety restrictions. So this year, Praxis Mutual Funds is proud to support small businesses in our home community of Goshen, Indiana in our gift giving this year. We invite you to consider supporting those vital small businesses in yours.
