Praxis investments support loans for schools

More than 400 million student-aged children live in India, but only 260 million are currently enrolled in school. Many government schools are under-funded and under-staffed. Private schools offer a better option – Varthana provides loans to affordable private schools with support from Praxis.

that were in her care. Public schools did not meet her standards, so she chose to start her own school in her home in 1991. Since then, the school has grown to over 600 students and a new location. Victoria uses loans from Varthana to keep her school meeting the needs of her students. Her work inspires the community, her students, her family and anyone she meets.
