Praxis sponsors CIF Leadership Summit
Faith Based Investing thought leaders focus on “Climbing Together”
Praxis Mutual Funds® again sponsored and participated in the annual CIF Leadership Summit. The Summit, planned and hosted by the Christian Investment Forum, was held in Asheville, N.C., at The Billy Graham Training Center: The Cove. Praxis, along with other CIF member organizations, sponsored this conference to bring financial advisors and institutional investors together to discuss how faith values can be integrated into the investment process.
Conference sessions included a variety of presentations to equip veteran participants with the latest information and trends in the field of faith-based investing. It also provided guidance on how investors at every level could begin or expand the implementation of Kingdom-minded investing strategies.
Chad Horning, CFA®,President of Praxis Mutual Funds, and Mark Regier, Vice President of Stewardship Investing both moderated breakout panels. Benjamin Bailey, CFA®,Vice President of Investments, was a session speaker while Leonard Dow, Stewardship and Development Specialist for Everence® was the closing plenary speaker for the Summit.
One of the highlights of the conference was the Explore Asheville evening where conference sponsors planned unique evening events to provide participants a local experience. Praxis hosted an event with Mountain BizWorks to explore ways impact investing can transform lives in marginalized communities. The event took place at a local, sustainable chocolate company, French Broad Chocolate, and included a tour of their new chocolate factory. A catered dinner in their chocolate café featured linens, stoneware, flowers as well as food and drink sourced from local Mountain BizWorks partners.
Praxis was pleased to actively support the third annual CIF Leadership Summit, presenting an opportunity to deepen advisor relationships, explore the opportunities of faith-based investing, and experience God’s beautiful nature.
The 2020 CIF Leadership Summit is scheduled at The Cove for August 19-21, 2020. We hope to see many of you there.
